By far, the most rewarding part of my job is connecting with like-minded finance and investment professionals. It is very fulfilling as I have the chance to learn from top minds in the field, not just within Malaysia but globally. On a typical day in the job, my interaction can vary from talking to a Partner of Private Equity firm in strategizing hiring growth plans and helping a Manager of a Tier-1 consulting firm to secure his debut in the corporate sector as the Head of Strategy. Even more fulfilling is working with both established and aspiring professionals secure roles that open doors to more opportunities, receiving sincere thank you notes or gifts and great testimonials from them. And of course, subsequently partnering with them as clients as they expand their divisions or businesses.

Having trained in a Big Four accounting firm and worked in a Fortune 500 global bank, I wanted to progress the next phase of my career in another truly multinational environment like Page Group. Page Group also has great infrastructure and resources indicating continuous investment in staying ahead in the industry, training and development. I love the internal webinars with colleagues based in multiple global locations sharing their diverse views, in addition to working on assignments with multinational clients in collaboration with colleagues of different nationalities.
Although recruitment is part of Human Resources function - To really add value to our clients, the core of what we do lies in the ability to navigate the market / industry, diving deep into jobs beyond just job descriptions, and understanding a professional beyond just the resumes. Initially, what attracted me to JOIN recruitment is commercial reasons such as a good business model offering solutions to problems faced by corporations on a continuous basis (hence the sustainable and ongoing demand for recruitment solutions with a trusted recruitment partner). Finally, what attracted me to STAY in recruitment is beyond the logical reasons, but the passion in the industry, relationship with clients that engaged me in their hiring/expansion journey and the bond built with candidates in witnessing their success.
